(Blackfalds, AB) – The Blackfalds Bulldogs are thrilled to announce leadership updates aimed at strengthening the organization and fostering continued success both on and off the ice.
Doug Quinn Appointed President of Hockey Operations
Doug Quinn, a seasoned leader with an exceptional understanding of the game, has been named President of Hockey Operations. In his new role, Quinn will work closely with Head Coach Ryan Tobler and the coaching staff to guide the Bulldogs toward achieving their team goals and ensuring continued success.
Quinn will also oversee Director of Player Development, Al Parada, ensuring the team’s focus on growth and excellence remains a top priority. Additionally, he will collaborate with trusted advisors and liaise with NCAA institutions, supporting the Bulldogs’ mission to establish clear pathways for players aspiring to compete at the NCAA Division I level.
Cam Maclise Named Assistant Coach
The Bulldogs are also proud to announce Cam Maclise as the team’s new Assistant Coach. Maclise, who has been working with the team since the start of the season as Skills Coach, brings a wealth of knowledge and elite playing experience to his new role.
Known for his positive and effective approach to player development, Maclise has already made a significant impact on the organization. His expertise and dedication to fostering talent will be invaluable as the Bulldogs strive for excellence on the ice.
A bit more on Cam… Cam Maclise, born in Camrose and raised in Lacombe, is a dedicated hockey player with deep ties to Central Alberta. He honed his skills in minor hockey across Lacombe and Red Deer and now resides in Blackfalds with his girlfriend, Alex, and their goldendoodle, Mal. Alex works for Volleyball Alberta and assists in coaching the RDC Queens volleyball team.
Cam’s family remains close, with his parents, Rick and Natalie, and his brother Troy and his wife Hannah, living in Lacombe, while his grandparents are based in Red Deer—Grandpa Ken is a regular supporter of the Bulldogs!
A Mount Royal graduate with a business degree focused on accounting, Cam enjoys golf, tennis, board games, playing guitar, and quality time at the dog park with Mal or with his family.
Cam’s hockey career is also quite decorated, including alumna status with the following: Red Deer Rebels U18AAA (AMBHL), Edmonton Oils Kings (WHL), Brooks Bandits(AJHL), Mount Royal (USports), Colorado Eagles (ECHL), Manitoba Moose (AHL), Florida Everblades (ECHL), and Lacombe Generals (NCHL-AB).
“We are excited to welcome Doug Quinn and Cam Maclise to these critical roles within our organization,” said Jodie Quinn, Co-Owner. “Doug’s leadership and vision, combined with Cam’s hands-on experience and player-first approach, position the Bulldogs for a strong and bright future.”
