Blackfalds Bulldogs are excited to announce the signing of 2007-born forward Henry Kress for the 2026-2027 season.
Kress, 18, who comes to Blackfalds from Venice Beach, California, played U18 High School Prep last season for Northwood School in Lake Placid, New York. Kress, who stands at six-foot-two and weighs 185 pounds, played 55 games for Northwood last season, where he had 28 goals and 25 assists for a total of 53 points. Kress also played 1 game this past season with the Bulldogs and had 1 assist in that game.
Bulldogs Director of Player Personnel, Al Parada, talked about Kress joining the Bulldogs next season, “Henry is a physical power forward who can change a game with his physicality, speed and shot. He has a very high hockey IQ and makes smart plays in both the defensive and offensive zones. Getting a chance to see Henry play a game for us at the end of the season got us all very excited about what he can bring to the table as a Bulldog next season.”
Kress talked about why he chose Blackfalds to start his Junior career, “I got the opportunity to come and skate with the team and loved the atmosphere. The coaches, management, ownership, and fans made me feel like Blackfalds was the place for me. I can’t wait to get started next season!”
The Bulldogs would like to welcome Henry and his family to the Bulldogs organization.
