Bulldogs Sign Liam O’Keeffe

The Blackfalds Bulldogs are pleased to announce the signing of 2006-born defenceman, Liam O’Keeffe, to a letter of intent for the 2024-25 season.

O’Keeffe is a product of Boston, Massachusetts and played for Dexter Southfield School in the United States High School Prep League (USHS-Prep). He scored 1 goal and 6 points in 30 games as the captain of his team and already has an NCAA Division I commitment to College of the Holy Cross.

Bulldogs’ Director of Hockey Operations, Al Parada, said, “Having the opportunity to get a player like Liam who is a very good defender and makes a great first pass out of his own zone will definitely help our D core moving into next year and the rest of this season as a Black Ace moving into playoffs.”

Parada continued, “Liam already has a D1 commitment to Holy Cross and is a player you can rely upon in the defensive zone and still has offensive upside as well. He is an extremely good skater and has a very high compete level as well.”

O’Keeffe stated, “I’m very excited to be a part of this organization and to be a part of the Blackfalds team and community. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the team and its coaching staff and look forward to a successful year.”

O’Keeffe will be participating in the USA Hockey National Championships next week in Las Vegas, Nevada as a member of the Boston Jr. Eagles U18 AAA team along with recent Bulldog commit and Black Ace Sam Caulfield.

Parada added, “I am looking forward to seeing what Liam can do in a Bulldogs uniform after he finishes up his USA National Tournament at the beginning of April.”

The entire Bulldogs organization would like to welcome Liam and his family to Blackfalds!
