Bulldogs Sign Sam Caulfield

The Blackfalds Bulldogs are pleased to announce the signing of 2006-born goaltender, Sam Caulfield, to a letter of intent for the 2024-25 season.

Caulfield hails from Needham, Massachusetts and plays for Milton Academy U18 team in the United States High School Prep League (USHS-Prep). He posted a 2.81 Goals Against Average and 0.927 Save Percentage in 27 games played.

Bulldogs’ Director of Hockey Operations, Al Parada, said, “Sam is a high end goalie with great character and has had a great season, which is one of the many reasons why he is ranked 32nd on Central Scouting for North American goalies for this year’s upcoming NHL draft.”

Caulfield stated, “I’m very excited to be a Bulldog and cannot wait to be a part of this team and the Blackfalds community. I believe we will have a really successful season with the new and existing talent along with the great coaching staff.”

Caulfield has helped lead his team to an Independent School League (ISL) Championship, Flood Marr Championship and an Elite 8 berth for the New England Prep School Conference (NEPSAC). He has also led the ISL Keller Division for the past two years in GAA and Save Percentage and been awarded ISL MVP, Flood Marr MVP, Milton Academy MVP as well as NEPSAC and ISL first team honors as well over the past two seasons.

Caulfield will be participating in the USA Hockey National Championships next week in Las Vegas, Nevada as a member of the Boston Jr. Eagles U18 AAA team.

Parada continued, “We are looking forward to bringing Sam in as a Black Ace after he backstops his team at the USA U18 AAA Nationals in Vegas.”

The entire Bulldogs organization would like to welcome Sam and his family to Blackfalds!
