Bulldogs Sign John Kartsonakis

The Blackfalds Bulldogs are excited to announce the signing of 2007-born forward John Kartsonakis for the 2026-2027 season.

Kartsonakis, who is 19, comes to Blackfalds from Montreal, Quebec. He played U18 AAA Prep Hockey last season for the Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana. Kartsonakis, who stands at six feet tall and weighs 178 pounds, played in 29 games for Culver last season, where he had 10 goals and 16 assists for a total of 26 points.

Bulldogs Director of Player Personnel, Al Parada, is excited about Kartsonakis being a Bulldog next season, “John is a highly skilled forward who plays with speed and can make plays in all areas of the ice. He is a player who can play either center or wing, and he has a very good hockey IQ, which makes him a solid 200-foot player with skill.”

Kartsonakis talks about why he chose Blackfalds for next season, “I believe this is the best place to take the next step in my hockey journey. I am excited for this opportunity to grow, surrounded by a great culture and professional coaching staff!”

The Bulldogs would like to welcome John and his family to the Bulldogs organization.
